The Barran crew walked into the junkyard confidently. Zedralan headed up the crew, his bat swaying as he walked. The other members all walked in a large line behind him, as well as The Black Death who had decided to join them for the night's brawling.

They stopped in formation and eyed off the challenger crew. The Stoke crew, a new crew barely a few fights in. They wore bright green t-shirts and any variety of accessories and clothing. Their leader walked slightly less confidently as Zedralan towards the center of the circular arena cleared only a few minutes ago by heavy machinery. Joe Klane walked up at the side of the two and looked over their crews. He nodded and flipped a coin 'Call it, Zed,' Zedralan won the toss and let Stoke nominate their first fighter.

A fairly weak guy had replaced the leader of the Stoke crew, and the Barran rookie Cmd had replaced Zedralan. Joe looked them over 'You dudes know the rules. This will be a blood drawn match. First one to bleed...' Joe pointed to the ground 'Goes down.' The two nodded 'Once you draw blood, lay off the sucker. Got it?' the two nodded again. 'Alright, take ringside and get ready.'

Cmd eyed off the newbie across from him as he circled the arena edge. The clang sounded, and Cmd set off at a sprint. The Stoke threw a fist out hoping to strike Cmd, but missed hopelessly. Cmd took both the momentum of his run and the angle of his target to advantage and slammed his fist violently into their gut. The Stoke doubled over and coughed violently, dropping to his knees. All the ease for Cmd to bring a heavy leg drop down onto the back of the Stoke's head. The resulting slam into the ground left blood seeping slowly from the nose of Cmd's opponent. Cmd threw his arms up into the air and grinned madly as Valentine gave him a thumbs up and Zedralan held his bat up.

Zedralan didn't get to choose his second nomination as The Black Death walked through into the arena. A violently shaking Stoke walked out. The clang sounded, and the Stoke walked carefully over to The Black Death. The Stoke punched lamely outwards, finding nothing for his trouble. The Black Death delivered a powerful one inch punch to the back of the Stoke's spine, dropping him. With skill, The Black Death cut a small like across the Stoke's cheek, drawing the required blood.

Zedralan stepped forwards against the Stoke leader. He twirled his bat in his hand idly as he awaited the clang. Just as it sounded, a familiar and annoying sound followed. Sirens, flashing lights, bullhorn armed police. A raid. The police charged over the mountains of garbage as the spectators and organizers fled. Brawler law stated the Brawlers must delay the police to allow others to get away, and so the Stoke leader and Zedralan turned their attention away from one another.

With no intent to actually kill the police, the crews went on the defensive. Valentine and Cmd had the advantage immediately, able to strike from afar. Zedralan dueled against the batons with his bat. The Stokes brawled as well as they could. Sadly, The Black Death had missed the message, and was now dropping police left and right. 'Soldiers, scatter!' Zedralan looked to the Stokes leader and nodded slightly 'You heard the man! Let's get out of here!' The crews scattered, leaving The Black Death with more then twenty cops moving on him.

Cmd, Valentine, and Zedralan had taken the same exit and were all but sprinting. 'Val, take Cmd to the hangout. I'll give you a few seconds!' Zedralan slid to a stop and readied himself for the onslaught. 'Bring it, suckers!!'

Tyraeth dived over the hood of a cruiser and kept on running. These cops wouldn't take HIM down. The five Stoke members struggling to keep up wouldn't, either. He smashed through a rotted wooden fence, and dived over a chain link one. Then, taking a left he threw himself through the window of a house into a living room filled with confused and scared faces. He tipped an invisible hat and almost broke the door off of it's hinges as he left.

Zedralan threw the cop backwards, and turned to run. He'd bought enough time now. But he no longer had any kind of head start. The police came up on his heels, forcing him to speed up. Soon only one had kept up, Zed too a back alley. With an almighty leap he reached the fire escape and climbed up it. He smiled thinly as the cop ran down the alleyway.

Valentine and Cmd had found themselves against a wall of police, and the few members of the Stoke crew that followed up behind found no different. More police closed them in... 'Err, Val?' Cmd shifted uncomfortably 'Quiet, I'm thinking...' if she WAS thinking it wasn't a quick thought.

Valentine shifted into a fighting stance, and those around her followed. All were uncertain of the fight ahead. Just as the fight was about to go off a man threw himself from the top of a nearby house and brought his sledgehammer down onto a cop's head. The cops took a hasty retreat after the initial shock and the assailant turned to Valentine "Hey cutie."

Zedralan took a shortcut through the connecting house and "borrowed" a shirt from someone's closet. He walked off back to the hangout nonchalant.

"Jones..." he smiled, revealing rotted teeth at Valentine "A... pleasure?" Jones leaned on his hammer "How about a kiss for the brave hero?" Valentine offered him the one finger salute instead "Feisty." Cmd walked off with the stokes as Valentine talked with Jones "Are you following us around?" Jones shook his head "Nah, just you babe." Valentine walked off also, leaving Jones laughing behind her.

"Welcome back to the hideout!" The whole crew had gathered once again and some of the stokes with them. "We lose anyone?" Valentine shook her head "Black Death hasn't shown up, but he never does anyway." A stoke stepped forwards "We're cut off now, what do we do?" Zedralan looked down from his crate "Find a nice spot on the concrete and wait until morning."

The hideout was once a warehouse that had been abandoned due to a ridiculous rat infestation. Zedralan took over the place and managed to come to an agreement with the rodents, leaving a stockpile of food out in the open for them and they leave him and the others alone for the food. Of the warehouse most of the stock had been either sold or used as furniture, Zedralan set up a large crate as a stage of a large crate. People sleep wherever, Zedralan prefers his makeshift bed on the lip of the stairway to what was once a second level but has mostly collapsed now, and Valentine has a hammock set across the stair rail and Zedralan's crate. Cmd uses a sleeping bag set up on the crate, Tyraeth crashes on the ratty couch he salvaged from a curb, and on the rare stay Black Death would somehow manage to sleep slanted across the stairwell. It was a good set-up.

Zedralan split a ham sandwich with a particularly brave rat as he watched over the sleeping group before him. "Rumors of the KAMERON crew mobilizing are becoming more and more common, what do you think they're trying to do?" The rat looked up at Zedralan quizzically in between nibbling it's ham "Yeah I didn't think so."

"So, we now face what is known as the ultimatum... The life or death decision, it's simply a change for the better!" Jones looked over his crew expectantly, "Well? What the hell are you saying dude?" Jones shook his head "We're taking over the streets tonight! Send word out: Our numbers are four times that of the police and it's time we did something with that!' The gang let out a cheer "But wait... What do we do once the take the streets?" Jones smiled thinly "WE PARTY!"

"So what are you doing for Cmd's birthday?" Zedralan tilted his head to face Valentine "It's his birthday?" Valentine shook her head "I've been telling you for a week, you know..." Zedralan sighed "Maybe we should get him initiated?" Valentine smiled "You could have gotten him a card," Zedralan was already hot wiring the nearest car "Cards suck."

"Come on get in no time to wait!" Cmd and Tyraeth looked at Zedralan in utter confusion "Just get in the car, guys," Valentine beckoned from behind Zedralan "Bring a jacket!" The trip was fast, as Zedralan wasn't known to drive any other way, and they soon crashed through a rusted chain link fence to pass through a knocked out wall and a garage door, hook onto the highway, drive directly across the highway, and bust down another fence to come to a stop in the abandoned parking lot of a power plant. "Welcome to the proving grounds, dude!" Tyraeth shoved Cmd out of the car and Valentine stepped out somewhat more gracefully. As Zedralan sped off with Tyraeth, Valentine revealed two paintguns from behind her back with a smile.

"I've done this before, but there's two more than I had after me now. Places like these usually have a floor where a metal walkway runs across, that's your vantage point. Zedralan will be patrolling the outer areas and Tyraeth will be hunting you inside. Any paintballs that hit flesh are as good as bullets if they hit you so don't get hit, this also works on us okay? Also, I'll be patrolling the upper levels until Zedralan gives the signal. Your goal is to get back to the hideout without getting a paintball up your nose, okay? Oh, and start running this is cutting into your two minute head start." Cmd had been relieved of his shirt earlier and been given a pistol style paintball gun in it's place. The plant was empty except for cobwebs and dust, but it wouldn't be for long. Cmd took the stairs up to floor three and almost missed a fire escape map. With some effort he snapped it from the wall and read it over as he ran.

Cmd decided he should hit the fire escape and try to hotwire something then he could get back to the hideo-- Cmd pulled back behind the wall, narrowly avoiding Tyraeth's spray of paintballs. Cmd returned fire through the gap in the unmaintained floors. The clanging of feet came from the stairs behind him, and he had no choice. Tyraeth fired wildly at Cmd as he leaped the gap, missing every time and almost hitting Valentine. "Tyraeth! Cover the south stairs!" he broke off.

Cmd slid to a stop, Valentine had made her way around... "Gotcha," it was a standoff, they both had their guns leveled and neither knew what to do. Valentine shifted slightly and Cmd took the opportunity to drop the the ground and fire wildly into Valentine's stomach. She hit the ground hard and curled into a ball with the pain "Sorry..." Valentine groaned "Take... take the gun and go," Valentine swore into a radio as Cmd ran off.

Cmd climbed down the fire escape and looked over the parking lot...
